CAA声明文 ダウンロード画像用ALT

ALT（代替テキスト）とは、読み上げ機能使用の際に画像の代わりとなる文章です。目の見えない方や見えにくい方、視覚情報としての文章の読み取りが苦手な方など、読み上げ機能を使う色々な方のためのものです。
画像の代わりの文章ということで、画像についての過不足のない説明の文章が求められます。関係ない内容を書くべきでないことに加えて、関係ある事柄でも、画像をアイキャッチとしてALTを長い本文閲覧コーナーのようにすること（例えば、デモの日時場所だけ書いた画像のALTに趣旨やグラウンドルールなど他のたくさんの情報も盛り込むことなど）は避けた方がよいはずです。
X（旧ツイッター）では投稿フォームで画像を選択した際に画像右下に表示される「＋ALT」をタップ／クリック、あるいは画像をタップ／クリックして移動する「画像の編集」画面下部の「ALT」アイコンを押すことで、「代替テキスト入力」画面にとぶことができます。
Instagramでは画像の編集を終えた後、キャプション入力画面の最下部の「詳細設定」に移動してから、その最下部「アクセシビリティ」の「代替テキストを書く」をタップすることで投稿するそれぞれの画像への代替テキスト入力が可能です。
以下は、CAA声明文の画像を使う際のALTの一例です。

本文を書き写します。
「パレスチナを忘れるな」というのが、エドワード・サイードの最期のことばでした。
パレスチナの未来のために、彼が最期まで重んじたのが、『文化』というものでした。
わたしたちは、Culture Against Apartheid（アパルトヘイトに抗する文化）というチームをつくりました。
わたしたちが、心から追い求めている新しい『文化』は、「ちいさな人びと」によってつくられます。今、この文章を読んでくださっているあなたが、生きるために書いてきたちいさな日記も、大切な文化のひとつです。肩書きもお金もない、ふつうの人びと。弱い立場にある人びとが、痛みから『回復』しようとするとき、あたらしい『文化』がはじまると信じています。
そしてこの社会の中で、孤独を抱え、「自由」に声を出すことができなくなりつつある、多くの表現者の方たちに、ぜひ仲間だと感じてほしいです。

パレスチナは、75年以上にわたって、〈漸進的ジェノサイド〉と呼ばれる状態にありました。パレスチナで起きつづけてきたことは、わたしたちが、21世紀になっても、植民地主義の暴力をのりこえることができなかった、その究極の証明です。
現在、ガザと西岸で起きている暴力はすさまじいもので、ガザには、すでに広島原爆ふたつ分に相当する火薬量が投下されました。判明しているだけで、死者は28,091人に達しています。そのすべての人に、心があり、人生がありました。 人間だけでなく、動物や植物たちも、空爆の火に焼かれました。
今起きている、ガザの大量虐殺を止めようと、世界中の市民たちが力を尽くして闘っています。しかしガザの人びとの「追放」までは、すでに秒読みの状態に入っています。

Culture Against Apartheidは、パレスチナの大量虐殺と民族浄化を止め、この問題の根幹にある、あらゆるレイシズム、性差別、抑圧、アパルトヘイト体制に抗する『文化』をつくる試みです。
イスラエル軍はいま、パレスチナの『文化』と、その土地で受け継がれてきた「歴史」そのものを消し去ろうとしています。12月７日、詩人のレファアト・アラリールさんが殺されたのは、彼の詩と、その人生の中に、パレスチナが再生する種子があるからです。
共にこの種子を守らなくてはなりません。ちいさな人びとの手によって。
あなたの声が必要です。 どうか、あなたの声をかしてください。

ALT TEXT FOR IMAGES

ALT TEXT is a text that substitutes for an image when using the read-aloud function. It is for various people who use the read-aloud function, including those who are blind or have difficulty seeing, or those who struggle with reading text as visual information.
The text that substitutes for an image should be a clear and sufficient description of the image. In addition to not writing unrelated content, it is also better to avoid including too much additional information in the ALT text that is not directly related to the image (for example, including the purpose or ground rules in the ALT of an image that only states the date and place of a demonstration).
On X (formerly Twitter), you can jump to the "Alternative Text Entry" screen by tapping/clicking "+ALT" displayed at the bottom right of the image when selecting an image in the post form, or by tapping/clicking the image and then pressing the "ALT" icon at the bottom of the "Edit Image" screen.
On Instagram, after finishing editing an image, you can enter alternative text for each image by moving to "Advanced Settings" at the bottom of the caption input screen and then tapping "Write Alternative Text" under "Accessibility" at the very bottom.

"Before his death in 2003, Edward Said urged us to remember Palestine, emphasizing in particular the importance of culture for its future.
Heeding his call, we, the undersigned writers, artists and culture workers, have formed a coalition called Culture Against Apartheid. We aim to create a new kind of culture, one which, following Svetlana Alexievich, affirms the little, nameless people of the world as its progenitors, rather than literary celebrities or artistic giants.
Yes, even the small, nameless diary which you have written in order to live is an essential component of culture. We believe that true culture begins when the oppressed — regular, ordinary people with no status or money — attempt to break free from their pain.”
The top and bottom of the image have the same English and Japanese headlines as the first image, and the date is written in small. Like the first image, it has black text on a warm sandy background. The following images all have the same format.

“We call on the many artists and creatives in our society struggling under the weight of loneliness, who feel unable to express themselves freely, to consider themselves one of us.
For the past 75 years, Palestine has been subject to an ongoing genocide by the state of Israel -- ultimate proof that we in the 21st century have failed even now to overcome the violence of colonialism. The amount of bombing that has been inflicted on Gaza and the West Bank since October 7th is equivalent to double the force of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima during World War II. The death toll in Palestine has already exceeded 28,091*—and those are only the confirmed deaths. Not just people but also animals and plants have been destroyed in the blazes of the bombs.
At present, people all over the world are doing everything within their power to stop the massacre in Gaza. And yet, we are swiftly approaching the complete expulsion of Palestinians from their land.”
There is a footnote in thin font on the bottom related to the death toll, which reads “Source: Euro-Med Monitor as of 23 December 2023”

“Culture Against Apartheid aims to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, as well as the racism, sexism, oppression, and apartheid from which it springs. Israeli forces are now attempting to destroy Palestinian culture and even history itself, which has been inherited through the land.
We know the reason why Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer was assassinated on December 7th: because his poetry and life contained the seeds for the regeneration of Palestine. We, the small people of the world, have an obligation to protect these seeds.
We need your voice. We ask you to stand with us.
We conclude, again with the words of Edward Said: We must attempt the impossible.”
